Final Paper Topic

My topic for my final paper is the role of women in society.  I will be comparing Pakistan and the United States.  I chose this topic because I grew up my entire life in the United States and have always been taught to voice my opinions and be independent and hardworking and to achieve my goals.  While I was interviewing students from Pakistan, I learned that it is not common for women to have the same rights as males.  Although their status in society is increasing as Pakistan is modernizing, the women do not have as many rights as women in the United States.  I would like to look more in depth on this topic, so I chose it as the topic for my final paper topic.
